Headlines HOLY CROSS TAKES FOURTHHoly Cross Braves of Collinsville, Illinois put up a battle against Grace Raiders of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Holy Cross coaches Mr. Brian Dunnette and Mr. Mark Judge mentioned that coming out to this tournament means the world to the girls and that they are just proud to have placed fourth in the tournament. "When you get down to the final four, all you have is tough teams. We don't hold the strongest bench in the league but i think we gave the teams a run for their money," said Dunnette. The Brave kept about a ten point gap behind Grace throughout the entire game. Both teams were extremely aggressive and had good offense and defense. In the fourth quarter Holy Cross lost more points making the score 22-43. There was strong crowd support for both teams in this game which really fed inspiration to the teams throughout the entire game. At the end of the game, Holy Cross gathered with a sense of accomplishment and exclaimed, "We're Champions!" The coaches commented, "the tournament really does it's job in making every team feel important and like champions and we just wanted to implement that thinking to our girls. Taking forth makes us nothing less than champions." |
